Compliance Manager - Sunnyvale

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
 
Job Scope/Duties:
Responsible for the development, implementation, and management of a Compliance Management System to include Enterprise Risk Management, Vendor Management and Regulatory Compliance programs.  Provides guidance, training and support to all functional areas. Communicates and reviews relative issues, outcomes and resolutions. Works directly with key Management and Executives to support regulatory compliance programs for each regulated product and service. Researches and monitors compliance updates and disseminates information regarding applicable changes.

Requirements

Experience/Minimum Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in relative discipline, or the equivalent combination of education/training and experience.  Requires a minimum of five to eight years of progressive experience in Compliance and Risk Management, including three years of management, preferably in a financial institution.  Certifications such as NAFCU Certified Compliance Officer (NCCO), Credit Union Compliance Expert (CUCE), Certified Bank Compliance Officer (CBCO), Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM), Certified Regulatory and Compliance Professional (CRCP), CU Enterprise Risk Management Expert (CUERME), NAFCU Certified Risk Manager, or Certified Regulatory Vendor Program Manager (CRVPM) desired.

 
Special Requirements:

Thorough understanding of Compliance and Risk Management.  Well rounded knowledge of the banking and/or credit union industry, including all operational aspects, CFPB regulations and the FFIEC Consumer Compliance Rating System   Excellent knowledge of financial institution regulations and laws such as Anti-Money Laundering rules, Bank Secrecy Act and Fair Lending Laws. Requires experience writing policies and procedures, establishing and improving processes, implementing compliance programs and performing risk assessments. Must have experience working in a regulated environment and responding to inquiries and findings of regulators and auditors.

 
Expectations:
Strong project management, problem solving, and analytical skills.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Strong research skills and a basic knowledge of statistics. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize responsibilities, and effectively complete multiple projects simultaneously. Must be a collaborative team player, Innovative, creative and flexible.
