Job Title:  Service Desk Specialist 


Hours:  Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. -5:00 p.m., Saturday Rotation Based on Business Needs.

Job Scope/Duties

Responsible for providing end user support for applications, platforms, and equipment. Responds to service desk calls; troubleshoots and resolves issues. Installs, integrates, and maintains internal computer equipment and third party application programs, ensuring smooth operation of both. Works in a multi-platform/multi-operating system environment and provides appropriate end-user support relating to these systems. Provides audio/video technical support for onsite and virtual meetings.


 Experience/Minimum Education Requirements

Requires a minimum of 4-6 years of related technology experience including the administration and maintenance of the following computer hardware and software programs: Active Directory, group policy, VPN technologies, operating systems including Windows 10\11, laptop & desktops hardware, printers and print spoolers, and encryption (Bit Locker). Bachelor's degree in technology field preferred; or the equivalent level of education and experience. Certifications including CompTIA A+, Udemy IT Help Desk Professional, Microsoft IT Support, and Network+ are highly desired.



Must have a good understanding of network protocols including TCP/IP, DHCP, and DNS and be able to troubleshoot connectivity issues. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Must be service oriented, flexible, adaptable and action oriented. Ability to handle multiple competing priorities while meeting deadlines. Strong decision-making and problem solving/trouble shooting skills are required. Ability to work in a collaborative and cooperative team environment while providing the necessary support to achieve department goals.
